WCE hosted a Winter Social to celebrate the holiday season and reflect on another successful year. Members gathered to connect with new and familiar faces while enjoying drinks and appetizers.

The evening began with the Annual General Meeting (AGM), where the Board reflected on the year’s achievements and voted in new Board Directors. This was followed by the presentation of WCE’s inaugural scholarship awards, after which attendees continued to socialize throughout the evening.

In 2023, WCE experienced a year of growth and accomplishment. Throughout the year, the organization explored topics such as setting boundaries, navigating pivotal career moments, and strengthening negotiation skills. Members also deepened their understanding of sustainable practices within the textile industry through a clothing swap and came together to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day (INWED). Beyond these milestones, the WCE community volunteered with Impact North Shore and shared expertise as mentors at both virtual and in-person mentorship events.

The evening concluded with attendees celebrating the community they had built and capturing memories at the photo booth.
