SCHOLARSHIP

Thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors, WCE Vancouver is pleased to announce that multiple scholarship awards are available of up to $1,000. The scholarship is open to self-identifying girls and women and non-binary people who are comfortable in spaces that focus on and are driven by the experience of women. All applicants must be residents of British Columbia or attending school in British Columbia. 

The scholarship is open to individuals in any stage of their education or career, and can be applied towards either a post-secondary engineering program within Canada, or professional development activities (courses, seminars, conferences, etc.) which will support your goals in the engineering profession. 

Scholarship recipients will be presented at the WCE Vancouver AGM. 

To apply, please complete the application form and provide the following documents:

1. One letter of reference from a teacher, professor, mentor or employer
2. 500-word personal statement describing the following:
   • Any special circumstances or barriers you currently face that this scholarship will help you bridge (i.e. financial need, etc.);
     AND one of the following:
   • If intending to use the scholarship towards a post-secondary engineering program within Canada: What motivates you to pursue engineering?
     OR
   • If intending to use the scholarship towards a course, seminar, conference, or other professional development activity: How will this professional development support your goals in engineering?
