Camp Engies is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led camp created by women in engineering for future women in engineering. Proudly supported by WCE, the initiative aims to inspire girls through hands-on activities, mentorship, and exposure to real-world engineering.

The 2025 BC Camp Engies day camp was held in Burnaby on Sunday, June 22. Girls in grades 4-8 spent the day exploring engineering through hands-on, engaging workshops focused on electrical, chemical, and forestry engineering. The camp wrapped up with a design challenge where teams built and tested earth dams.

New volunteers were paired with experienced camp counsellors to help run the workshops and activities. Their teamwork created a fun, inclusive environment that encouraged curiosity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Thanks to the support of sponsors and the time and energy of the volunteer team, the camp was a great success. See photos below and check out Camp Engies LinkedIn post for more highlights.
