International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) was celebrated with us over drinks, champagne and cupcakes. WCE hosted a clothing swap with Threading Change, a youth lead organization that envisions fashion as ethical and circular, with a special short presentation by Sophia Yang.

Our members enjoyed some snacks, learned about the fashion industry and the latest sustainable textiles, and celebrated INWED.

FAQs:
Q: How does it work?

A: Bring your clean clothes to the event. At check-in, volunteers will be reviewing conditions of the clothes. We will then give you a ticket which indicates the number of items you may take home at the end of the swap. If you didn’t find any items you like, you can reuse your ticket at future Threading Change events.

Q: What type of clothing will be there?

A: This will depend on what people bring.

Q: What happens to the leftover clothes?

A: All the clothes are donated to WISH drop in center society.
