What drives you? How do you make your work meaningful? What are your personal values?
This session, facilitated by Debra Innes of High Impact Lab, made the case for how consistently living and leading from values can provide a strategy to support personal and relationship wellness at work and at home. Using a values-based leadership framework, the session guided participants through a dialogue on how to stay grounded in their values and remain “above the line,” even in challenging environments or when working alongside others with different priorities.
Participants had the opportunity to explore their own personal values systems in small groups and connect with what it looks and feels like when their values are in action. They also examined what happens when they are triggered into a reactive stance, guided by self-protective strategies.
