Following the successful microaggressions workshop held the previous year, WCE published its Microaggressions Action Plan to summarize the outcomes of that session. However, the work did not stop there. Standing up for yourself or demonstrating allyship can be challenging, even when you know it is the right thing to do. To continue this work, WCE enlisted Toby Michaud to deliver an action-based workshop focused on building the strategies and skills needed to address these situations.
Toby is an experienced facilitator who leverages her diverse background as a scientist, project manager, and leader to facilitate with connection and compassion. She brought a strong enthusiasm for working with people, inspiring the exchange of ideas and guiding the emergence of new thinking and understanding. Deeply passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, Toby translated these concepts into practical learning opportunities and shifts in perspective as participants worked collectively toward a more inclusive industry.
